What’s your favorite local festival? We posed this question to our readers on our Facebook page last week. Mathews Market Days took first place with 33.3 percent of the vote with the Gloucester Daffodil Festival in second place at 25.9 percent. The Urbanna Oyster Festival received 11.1 percent of the vote, followed by the West Point Crab Carnival with 7.4 percent and the Guinea Jubilee and Mathews May Faire both receiving 3.7 percent of the vote. A total of 11.1 percent of survey takers said they loved all of the festivals and 3.7 percent said they did not like any festivals.
