Family meals are a priority for food blogger

Regan Hudgins, a native of Mathews County now living in St. Louis, Missouri, has always shared her knowledge of and love for cooking as she and her family have crossed this country.
“For as long as I can remember, I have been watching strong and talented women in the kitchen,” Regan writes. “My mother (my hero), Robin Dehoux, always somehow managed to make us a home-cooked meal even after a long day of work. And she taught me most of what I know.”
Regan adds, “Some of my favorite childhood memories are being in the kitchen with my grandmother (“Nanny”), Betty Stewart. Baking was what her nanny was quite often doing and Regan always got to taste the batter. “I still think this is the best part of baking. My nanny is still baking delicious treats and one of my favorite recipes is her zucchini bread.” Regan is sharing the recipe.
