The Baystars fall soccer season kicked off Saturday at Woodville Park in Gloucester County as a number of teams took to the pitch.
The Riptides recorded a 4-0 shutout victory Saturday. Team members include, from left, Ava Santellanes, Isabella Harrell, Kaitlyn Hearon, Courtney Ware, Sophie Starnes, Kacy Dudley, Lexi Spangler, Shia Asbell, Mackenzie Santo Domingo, Aubrey Milawski, Elsie Williams, Layla Santellanes, Hailey Ware and Emily Baker.
Riptides
The Riptides girls’ 17U team faced the VA Rush Soccer Club Blue Devils at Woodville Park on Saturday, defeating the visiting team, 4-0. Layla Santellanes led the way with two goals. Ava Santellanes and Isabella Harrell scored once each. Aubrey Milawski and Elsie Williams recorded an assist each. The Riptides played a very strong defensive game and goalkeeper Lexi Spangler kept the ball out of the Riptides’ goal.
