Fall harmful waste collection to be held Oct. 19

Gloucester County’s fall 2019 Household Harmful Waste Collection Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Hayes Convenience Center, 7599 Guinea Road.
This twice-annual collection of household harmful waste allows residents an opportunity to dispose of automobile hazardous waste such as automotive fluids and batteries, and other lead-acid-storage batteries. The harmful waste collection also accepts painting supplies (paint, thinners, solvents, epoxies, wood preservatives); gardening, yard and household chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, toxic household cleaners, mercury, pool chemicals); older fluorescent light bulbs; and small propane canisters such as from grills.
