Fall ball is underway at the Mathews County Little League fields on the Piankatank Ruritan Club grounds in Hudgins. “We have had nearly 150 kids sign up for the fall season,” MLL president Ricky Wiatt announced on Facebook back in September. Last Thursday, the Mathews Junior softball girls took on their neighbors to the north, with Middlesex prevailing, 4-1.
