GARDEN CLUB: The York River Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 11, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point. Rick Stanley, arborist and safety and compliance manager with Xylem Tree Experts, will speak.
PLAY TIME: Children’s Open Play Time will be held for children birth to 5 years old on a drop-in basis from 10 a.m. to noon today, Thursday, Jan. 11, at Gloucester Library, Main Street Center. Toys and developmentally appropriate materials are provided.
TUESDAY
NARFE: Chapter 1757 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees will hold its monthly luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Olivia’s in the Village, Main Street, Gloucester. The program’s guest speaker is Virginia NARFE Area 1 vice president Marilyn Riddle, who will conduct the 2024 officer induction ceremony. All members and visitors are encouraged to attend.
