Daffodil Vintage on Main, a new event rental business, opened for business April 6 on Gloucester’s Main Street, next door to the Wild Rabbit Café.
Owner Sherri Clark runs the business full-time, with assistance from her mother, Renee Benton of Bena. This is the first time Clark has owned a business.
Clark has collected glassware for years and occasionally helped plan events for friends. Daffodil Vintage is an offshoot of those two interests.
The shop houses only a sampling of Clark’s much larger collection of vintage and vintage-inspired décor, props and what she terms "tablescapes," which can be matching or unmatched settings of china tailored to a client’s color and design preferences.
"Think weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, corporate events, theater, photo shoots and parties for any occasion," a flyer said.
