A graveside service for Evelyn Shepherd Bohannon, 89, of Gloucester, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bellamy United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gloucester. She died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, in Walter Reed Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Bohannon was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd T. Bohannon; her parents, Thomas A. and Eva Horsley Shepherd Sr., and brother, Sgt. Thomas A. Shepherd Jr.

She was a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn B. "Inky" Rammel of North, and Delores Johnson of Florida; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Charles McDaniel.
