Etta Moore Butler Thompson, 87, Dutton, Va., passed away in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Dominick Calautti on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014.
She was born in Poquoson, Va., and was the widow of James Ralph Thompson and the daughter of the late Boyd C. and Etta Moore Butler. She was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church and was a charter member of Seaford Baptist Church. Miss Etta retired from Riverside Regional Medical Center as a Registration Clerk.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann Calautti and her husband Dominick, and Sharon I. Lister and her husband Charles; her grandchildren, Mary Loes and her husband Brian, Rosetta White and her husband Todd, Roccio Calautti, Michael Calautti, and Daniel August and his wife Dawn, and 11 great- grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Andrews Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul F. Gillespie and the Rev. Stephanie Wilson. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, at 1 p.m. Saturday.
