Entries being accepted for Art Speaks juried show

The Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews is taking entries until March 1 for its seventh annual juried art show, to be held April 27-May 27 at the Art Speaks gallery on Main Street.
Director Pam Doss announced this week that painter and enamelist Janly Jaggard will serve as juror for the show, to which all Virginia artists in two-dimensional and three-dimensional media are invited to apply.
A teacher for 40 years, Jaggard has offered drawing, painting and enameling classes and workshops in a variety of venues to students of all levels of experience, Doss said. She currently teaches at the Beverly Street Studio School in Staunton where she has established an enameling program.
Jaggard has judged several regional art exhibitions in the Shenandoah Valley, and has served as the Exhibition Coordinator at Ox-Eye Vineyards in Staunton since 2012, where she has been responsible for six art exhibitions each year.
