English judge among those taking part in Gloucester show

Judges from all over the East Coast and beyond will be in Gloucester this spring to judge the annual Gloucester Daffodil Show, to be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, at Newington Baptist Church on Main Street.
This signature event of the Gloucester Daffodil Festival is sponsored by Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism and is sanctioned by the American Daffodil Society. Admission is free.
Among those joining the judging team this year will be Ian Tyler of England, who has been an accredited Daffodil Society judge for over 30 years.
Tyler’s interest in daffodils began in the late 1970s at his local pub in Standish, England, said a press release. He would take a break from his medical career to hang out with friends, “drinking pints of beer and putting the world to rights.”
