Empty Bowls to be held at Bay School Dec. 10

The 10th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews. Proceeds will benefit Hands Across Mathews.
Handmade bowls from Clay by the Bay Ceramics Guild will be displayed and sold in the Art Speaks Gallery, and soup, bread, cookies, and water will be served in the pottery studio. Guests may choose to dine communally in the gallery and classroom or take their meals to go.
“This event is a poignant reminder that there are those around us that, without the aid of Hands Across Mathews, will surely have empty bowls in their future,” said Bay School Executive Director Pam Doss.
Tickets will be sold in advance. The bowls will be set out at 11 a.m. and noon, so everyone will have a good selection to choose from.
