Gloucester County will hold an Emergency Preparedness Expo Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Home Depot, 6921 Walton Lane, Gloucester.
This expo is organized by Gloucester CERT, Gloucester Emergency Management, and Home Depot. Community resources will be available.
A number of groups are planning to attend, a release said, with “touch-a-truck” experiences with first responders that include VCU MedHealth Live Evac, Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue trucks and boat; Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue engine and truck, VDOT Gradall and Front End Loader, Three Rivers Health District, Virginia State Police troopers with vehicles, and Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office deputy with vehicle.Also taking part in Touch-a-Truck will be the Virginia Conservation Police, state Department of Forestry truck with bulldozer, and Rappahannock Community College with its ambulance simulator.
