Elsie Christine Roane Scott, 73, of Gloucester died on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024.

She was a native of Gloucester County and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include children, James Roane, Dana Roane and Kwashon Roane; five brothers and four sisters; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eleanor Jackson Roane; her spouse, William Scott, and siblings, Clara, Angela and Patsy.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Newington Baptist Church with a viewing from 1 o’clock until the service.
