Elmer Edward Schmidt Sr., 90, of Gloucester, died on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023.

He worked with Bendix Corp. for 47 years.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Yvonne Schmidt; son, Bo Schmidt; daughter, Lisa Rhodes; his twin brother, Ernest Schmidt; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Westminster, Md., 21157.

Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, was in charge.
