Ellyn B. Southworth, age 58, of Mathews, died on Nov. 24, 2014, after a long illness.

Ellyn was born in Norfolk, Va., and graduated from Cox High School. It was here that she met the love of her life. Though their lives went separate directions for a time, they found their way back to each other and were joined in marriage 28 years ago. A devoted wife and loving mother, Ellyn also worked in the Mathews schools.

Ellyn was predeceased by her parents, Arthur Lee Bonwell Jr. and Mary Ann Bonwell.

Ellyn is survived by her husband, Harry; children, Leeann, Sara, Kate, Karly, and Harrison; grandchildren, Katrina and Kassidy Sahm; brother, Arthur Bonwell; a sister, Martha Fritzgerald.

The family will have private services at a later date.

Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, is in charge of the arrangements.
