Eleanor W. Chouinard, 99, of Smithfield, passed away at Riverside Convalescent Center-Smithfield on Feb. 9, 2014.

She was born Aug. 2, 1914, in Schenectady, N.Y., and moved to Virginia from Florida some five years ago to be close to her daughters, Bobbie (Jim) Blesse of Smithfield and Betsey (Larry) Latta of Gloucester. Eleanor is also survived by grandchildren, Meg Souder, Bryan (Stephanie) Souder and Keith Latta, as well as great-grandchildren, Hannah, Grace and Ellie Souder.

A memorial service will be held at her church in St. Augustine, Fla., at a later date.
