Eleanor Diggs Morgan, 96, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023. Eleanor graduated from Mathews High School and was the last living member of her graduating class. She was a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Eleanor loved her home and loved to work outside with her flowers and cutting grass. She also loved to cook, sew for her family, and make Christmas and birthdays fun for everyone. She so loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Gerald L. Morgan Sr.

Eleanor is survived by her sons, Jerry Morgan (Cindy), Keith Morgan, Chris Morgan (Debbie), and her daughter, Lisa Temple. She was a grandmother to six, a great-grandmother to seven, and a favorite aunt to many.

The family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation-Mathews for their compassionate care and support.

The family received friends on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 1-2 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. A Celebration of Life service was held in the funeral home chapel, following the visitation at 2 o’clock. Burial followed at St. Paul Cemetery, Susan, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions made to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1130, Mathews, Va. 23109.
