Elder to perform at Sweet Tooth Café

Singer/songwriter Brian Elder will perform from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the Sweet Tooth Café on Main Street in Gloucester.Elder, a Gloucester native who currently resides in West Point, spent several years in the industry, associated with Broadcast Music, Inc., and Nashville Songwriters Association International and opening for bands such as Brett Michaels and Papa Roach, said a press release. But realizing something was missing, he decided to give up music for good.
Then, in 2019, while battling anxiety and depression, Elder reached out to God for a purpose and was led back to his guitar with “a new faith-fueled passion,” said the release. He began writing songs of worship and today shares his music around the globe with a testimony “that reminds us hope exists and God’s healing power can be found in worship.” His most recent album is “Passenger Side.”
