A funeral service for Edward Carter, 67, of Gloucester, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in Union Zion Baptist Church, Ware Neck. He died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015.

He was born in Gloucester County on June 3, 1947 to Joe Cephus Sr. and Beatrice Carter.

Survivors include wife, Edna; daughters, Monique and Jeanine, and three granddaughters.

The service will be conducted by the Rev. Willie G. Dickerson.
