Some weeks ago, we asked readers to submit issues of interest that could be relevant to the upcoming elections.
We have received a few responses and now pass on to you what they said:
Roads: "Quick fix of potholes is not the long-term solution; we need to work on repairs and maintenance of roads and bridges/tunnels as well as new projects … for our future … We have many assets in our beautiful state, but roadways are too often neglected and dangerous."
Trash: "If we all just use a trash can and receptacles …we would have more beautiful roadways and fewer maintenance issues … Higher fines for infractions should be imposed and used to aid our road projects."
Education: "I am a retired teacher, wanting the best education for my grandchildren now. Teachers’ salaries, always a need for the best teachers and for them to be paid accordingly. Programs that teach the basics, but also essential are qualified librarians for each...
