Editorial: Know your members of Congress

Congress is in session. The balance of power has shifted but the three men who represent Gloucester and Mathews residents in the House of Representatives and in the Senate remain the same.
Rob Wittman, Mark Warner and Tim Kaine are all familiar names. They have climbed into seniority and are embarking on the new 119th session of Congress, working for the nation and for their constituents.
A lot of change is happening as the new Trump administration gets underway. Its message is no more business as usual; change is on the way. The White House is seeking to enact many of its objectives through executive order. Some ideas, however, will have to go through Congress.
Whether it’s a personal issue such as difficulty with a federal agency, or a matter of national interest such as immigration, your Congressional members and their staffs are available to lend an ear and, it is hoped, to make a difference.
