The board’s leadership is set and the county’s annual budget process will soon be underway.
Gloucester County Board of Supervisors approved its chairman and vice chairman at its Jan. 7 organizational meeting. Kevin Smith will serve as chairman and Ashley Chriscoe as the board’s vice chair.
Pretty soon, the board will get down to perhaps its most important annual task, and the one that has the biggest impact on most of the county’s residents—setting the Gloucester budget and accompanying tax rates.
Three of the board seats will also be up for election in the fall—the seats held by Smith (at-large), York District representative Phil Bazzani and Petsworth District representative Ken Gibson.
