We will be brief. This is National Volunteer Week in America. The theme, according to several websites, is “Volunteering Weaves us Together.”
In other words, volunteers are the building blocks of our community. Think how much our lives and lifestyles depend on volunteers and their works.
Fire and rescue; youth sports leagues; blood banks; neighborhood organizations; service clubs of every description; all are powered by volunteers.
Be a volunteer, thank a volunteer, at least think kindly of volunteers. This is their week.
