Edgar Christian West Jr. passed away on April 5, 2025, at his home in Richmond, Va., at age 69. His passing was sudden and leaves many in heartbreak. He was born in Gloucester, Va., to Edgar C. West Sr. and Edith A. (Atkinson) West. Edgar Jr. graduated from the University of Richmond in the year of 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduating, Edgar worked at U-Totem convenience store as a cashier/manager. He then continued his path to Tom Leonard’s grocery store, where he retired. Edgar found joy in attending auctions where he collected many antiques and paintings. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret A. (West) Hathaway, and is survived by his sister, Patricia G. (West) Smith, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
