Unable to hold its traditional Easter Egg hunt this year, Newington Baptist Church in Gloucester found a new way to provide fun for children involved with the church and the Newington Courthouse Preschool. Newington volunteers packed and then delivered Easter Hunt On-the-Go bags to more than 90 children throughout Gloucester County and into Mathews and Middlesex. Each bag was filled with candy and eggs for hiding, coloring sheets, a simple craft, and a goodie bag with other treats. It included everything the kids might need for egg hunts at home with their own families, said Newington’s Heather King.
