The Mathews Community Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Tara M. Plotino Memorial Fund and the Mathews County Visitor and Information Center, was held on Saturday morning on the Mathews court green. Youngsters eagerly awaited the 11 a.m. start and, within less than four minutes, all of the 5,000 brightly colored candy-filled plastic eggs had been scooped up and placed in Easter baskets.
