Aiden Harpole, a sixth grader at Peasley and his 3-year-old brother Artemis, took matters in their own hands last week, picking up trash at the beach in Guinea in honor of Earth Day. Trash included lots of fast-food take-out bags, beer bottles, bags of trash dumped there by people, fishing nets complete with a full deer skeleton, cut pieces from crab pots, etc. They were joined in their cleanup by their father, Thane Harpole, who can be seen in the photo below.
