Due to the closing of post offices for the observance of the Juneteenth holiday (Wednesday, June 19), each of the deadlines for next week’s issue of the Gazette-Journal will be one day earlier.
That means that classified advertisements must be received no later than noon on Monday, June 17 for that week’s paper. The deadline for church news also will be noon Monday. The cutoff for community news, letters to the editor, display advertising and anything else for next week’s paper will be 8 a.m. Tuesday, with the newspaper printing (fingers crossed) shortly after noon.
The Gazette-Journal intends to follow the same schedule for the Thursday, July 4 issue.
