Gloucester High School cross country runners posted perfect scores again on Sept. 22, with the girls and boys beating host Heritage 15-50. Kevin Speray led the Dukes in 18:19, followed by Logan Pitchford in 18:19, Eric Speray in 19:33, Cameron Cross in 19:34 and Blake Waters in 19:48.
Elisabeth Drake won the girls’ race for the Lady Dukes in 22:23, followed by Morganne Roundy in 24:20, Anna Robins in 24:34, Megan Hogge in 24:52 and Carrie Adams in 25:01.
The Gloucester harriers also had a good outing at the Chesapeake Invitational on Saturday. The GHS boys took the first place trophy in the B race with Pitchford placing third overall. Tyler Lothian was 10th, Waters was 11th and Tyler Price was 13th. All four were also awarded individual trophies. Drake won the girls’ B race in 21 minutes and Hogge was sixth in 22:49.
