Dukes golf finishes second in district; on to regionals

The Gloucester High School golf team finished second in the Peninsula District last Wednesday at the Hamptons Golf Course where the Menchville Monarchs led the Dukes by seven strokes with a score of 330 at the match.The Dukes finished the regular season with a team total of 1,715, 21 points behind the Monarchs.
Gunner Healey led the Dukes at last week’s match with a 79. Next for Gloucester was Camden Richardson with an 81, followed by Andrew White (84), Wyatt Lawson (93), Jackson Dutton (93) and Zachary Barrack (96).
Final individual player averages for the season are as follows: Healey (82.2), Richardson (84), White (84.2), Lawson (93.8), Dutton (98.75), Drew Adkins (104), Barrack (105) and Lucy Alexander (107). Gloucester’s team average for the season was 343.
The Dukes will compete in regionals Monday at Sewells Point Golf Course in Norfolk.
