The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ basketball team suffered a horrific loss Tuesday night away, falling to the Menchville Monarchs, 118-40.
Gloucester had a rough first quarter, only managing eight points against Menchville’s 35. The Dukes found themselves down by the end of the first half, 69-15. Gloucester scored multiple three pointers in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to match Menchville’s continuous scoring. Dylan DeYoung led Gloucester on the scoreboard with a total of 12 points.
Gloucester will play again Friday night at home to face Warwick.
