The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ basketball team fell to the Hampton Crabbers, 71-21, at Tuesday night’s away game.
The Dukes found themselves down early, with the score at 25-6 after the first quarter and 46-8 at halftime. Gloucester’s defense improved in the second half, holding the Crabbers’ offense to less than half of what they scored in the first half, but it was not enough. Hampton’s strong defense held Gloucester’s offense to only 13 points in the second half.
Gloucester will be looking for its first win of the season as they take on the Bethel Bruins at home on Friday.
