The Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams had a tough week, falling short to both Hampton and Bethel.
The Lady Dukes team forfeited their game against the Hampton Crabbers, and the loss dropped the girls to a record of 1-8 for the season.
The boys’ team also lost to the Crabbers, 70-32. Dylan DeYoung led Gloucester in scoring.
Bethel
Tuesday night, Gloucester traveled to Bethel High School. The Lady Dukes lost to the Bruins, 55-8. Gloucester failed to score in the first half of the game, but was able to put up some points in the second half.
The Gloucester boys also lost to the Bruins, 91-43. Bryce Monroe led Gloucester in scoring with nine points (all three pointers).
