The Gloucester Dukes varsity football team recorded its second win of the year on Friday, besting the Denbigh Patriots, 33-13.
Quarterback Jayden Ganzenmuller was three for seven in passing during the game, throwing for 38 yards, one score and one interception. M.J. Roberts rushed for 63 yards on 15 attempts and found the end zone once. Roberts also caught one ball for a 14-yard touchdown.
Will Turner also had 15 rush attempts for 54 yards. Corey Skay rushed for 41 on seven attempts and caught one ball for one yard. Evan Frazier rushed seven times for 35 yards. Jackson Taylor rushed four times for 14 yards. Tyler Welch had 12 yards on two attempts. Jacob Mazzuca caught one ball for 23 yards.
One defense, Turner had an incredible interception that he ran back 100 yards for a pick six. Preston Prentiss led the team in tackles with three solo tackles and seven assisted. Prentiss also had one kick blocked. Jaiden Long had five total tackles, two of which were solos.
