The Gloucester High School varsity baseball team defeated the Phoebus Phantoms, 5-0, last Thursday.
The Dukes maintained a steady pace of scoring runs throughout the game with the final two runs coming in the seventh inning to close out the game.
Austin Shackelford was on the mound for the Dukes, only allowing four hits in a little over six innings pitched. Shackelford also had success offensively, getting three hits in four at-bats and driving in one run.
