The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ volleyball team split two matches on the road this week, defeating Phoebus but losing to Heritage.
The Dukes beat Phoebus, 3-0, last Thursday. Jesse Manheim had one ace and five digs; Tabb Hogge had three aces and 10 digs; Grayson Shield had one kill, 17 assists and three digs; Gavin Blanks had nine kills, one block assist and two digs; Hayden Simmons had nine kills, one solo block and four digs; Colter Callis had one ace, five kills, one block assist, 11 assists and six digs; Ryan Williams had six kills and two digs; Bruce Miller had two kills, two solo blocks and two digs; and Ryan McCullough had one ace and eight digs.
Tuesday night, Gloucester lost to Heritage in three straight sets.
