Gloucester High School cross country runners earned their third Peninsula District victory of the season on Oct. 6, beating host Warwick. The Dukes won with a score of 20-41 and the Lady Dukes by 21-40.
A Warwick runner won the boys’ race, followed closely by five Gloucester harriers. Kevin Speray led the Dukes in 17:49, followed by Cameron Cross in 18:19, Logan Pitchford in 18:22, Eric Speray in 18:23, and Blake Waters in 18:29.
Gloucester’s Elisabeth Drake won the girls’ race in 21:38, followed by teammates Morgan Roundy in 22:24 and eighth grader Anna Robins in 22:25. Megan Hogge was fifth in 23:08 and Carrie Adams was sixth in 23:17.
