Dudley’s paintings on display in Gloucester

An exhibition of paintings by Gloucester artist Carolyn Thompson Dudley will be on display throughout March at Arts on Main in Gloucester.
An opening night reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the gallery, which is located on Main Street. It is free and open to the public. There will be live music, a cash bar, and food available for purchase.
Dudley has exhibited regularly at the juried shows Arts Speaks on the Bay (winning a first place award in 2013) and the Montpelier Center for the Arts, South Atlantic Show, and last year, among other shows, was selected for the 37th annual Virginia Watercolor Exhibition. She holds a bachelor’s degree in painting and printmaking from VCU and a master’s in Art Psychotherapy from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She paints full-time in her Gloucester studio and is known for her landscape and portrait works.
