Artist Terri Doyle will demonstrate drawing and sketching skills in a series of four workshops to be held on Wednesdays throughout March at Arts on Main in Gloucester.
Focusing on line drawings, composition, shading, balance and perspective, Doyle will help participants sharpen their technical and observational skills, forming the basis for finished works in all media.
Doyle has taught arts and crafts at the community college level for the past five years. Her formal education in the arts was what she was able to achieve in public school and the occasional after-school tutoring. She has won several awards and ribbons in competitions throughout the southeast and in New York City and has taken first, second and third place at the Carolina Artist Expo in the past couple of years.
Doyle uses several types of media, currently working in color pencil and graphite to draw portraits of pets and expressive wild animals.
