In an event organized by Mathews Memorial Library, Thomas Hunter Middle School sixth graders went to Lee-Jackson Elementary last Thursday morning to celebrate Dr. Seuss Day (which was actually on Monday, March 2) by donning traditional “Cat In The Hat” chapeaus and reading to pre-Kindergarten through third graders, sharing the joy of reading. Sixth graders taking part in this reading program were, kneeling from left, Emma McBurney, Nick Fomin, John Hospodar, Holly Durbin, Aiden Ashberry; seated, Toby Eskins, Tristan Downs, Addison Morgan; standing, Avery Thomas, Jayda Thomas, Rayann Helbig, Akilesh Jaquez Valdivia, Ray Hudgins, Brayden Larson, Austin Wiseman, Ava Buckler, Sophia Madigan, Nick Martinez, Emma Skaza, Elizabeth Congrove and Nora Suthard.
