Jennifer D. Anderson, DMD, MS, will be the new owner of the Schroer Periodontist and Implants office at Tyndall Square, Gloucester Point, as Michael S. Schroer, DDS, is retiring after 40 years in practice. His team will remain with the practice.
Dr. Anderson, a board-certified periodontist, has been in practice for 15 years and is an active member of the Academy of Periodontology as well as the Academy of Osseointegration.
Anderson was a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy, as a periodontist specialist for four years. She also worked on the U.S. Marine Corps base in Okinawa, Japan, for two years. She later ended up in Norfolk and she spent 11 years on the Peninsula in different dental offices as an independent contractor.
Anderson is the mother of four girls. She and her husband, Todd Spangler, reside in Williamsburg. Todd’s grandparents were Aubrey and Peggy Fitzgerald and he spent a good deal of time in Gloucester growing up.
