Dorothy Horsley Sibley, 91, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the Gloucester House.

She was born in Gloucester County and was the daughter of the late Herbert Clifton and Harriet Orethea Horsley and the widow of Floyd Norman Sibley Jr. She was a lifelong member of Petsworth Baptist Church.

  She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Herbert L. Horsley and J. Allen Horsley, Clarice Ritch and Myrtle Ballance.

She is survived by her son, Norman L. Sibley and his wife Katherine; grandson, Christopher N. Sibley; sister, Mabel Richardson; three nieces, and one nephew.

The family received friends at Petsworth Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. with funeral services starting at 2 o’clock. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Gloucester House and to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for the special care that they gave Mrs. Sibley.
