Donnie “Lucky” Oliver Spriggs of Mathews, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, and community friend. Lucky, known for his grand stature and his big heart and spirit, will be missed by many.

A public funeral service will be held at Newington Baptist Church, Gloucester, on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, at 2 p.m. Flowers can be sent to Forrest Brothers Funeral Home. The family asks all who attend to please wear black, green or white, the colors of the Philadelphia Eagles, Lucky’s favorite team.
