Donald Grant Ramsey Sr., 64, of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023. He was born in Richmond, Virginia.

He retired from Dominion Energy Yorktown Power Station with over 35 years of service. He was a member of McKenny Hunt Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah and Eugenia Ramsey; sister, Mary Margaret Ramsey; brother, Rudolph Wayne Ramsey, and is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol Ann Ramsey; daughter, Christie Hawkins (James); son, Donald Ramsey Jr. (Jennifer); grandchildren, Logan and Lauren Ramsey; siblings, William Ramsey (Sue), Douglas Ramsey (Cindy), Eugenia Elder (Richard), and his best friend, Andrew Wallace (Patty).

Funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
