Don Richard Davey, 64, of Gloucester, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
He was a graduate of York High School and co-owner of Davey Brothers, Inc., a Class A construction company. As well as being business partners, Don and Robert were almost inseparable. Don dearly loved his family and friends and enjoyed playing music and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Davey.
He is survived by his father, Richard Smith Davey; brother, Robert Davey and wife Frances; nephews, John and Patrick Davey, and his very special friend, Joy Keafer, who brought much sunshine and pleasure into his life.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, 3098 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes, Va. 23072. A committal service officiated by the Rev. Connie Jones will be private for the family.
