Dominion awards grants to three Gloucester organizations

The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation recently awarded grants to three Gloucester organizations as part of a broader charitable effort that provided $4.2 million in grants to various non-profits across seven states.
Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic received a $5,000 grant for the clinic’s Middle Peninsula Health Care Safety Net; Gloucester United Emergency Shelter Team (GUEST) received $5,000 for permanent supportive housing; and The Samaritan Group was awarded $2,500 for rental assistance to families who are facing eviction due to non-payment of rent.
According to a press release from the foundation, recipients of the grants more broadly “will expand nutritious options in communities facing food insecurity, increase mental health services, improve access to services for people with disabilities, host dental care clinics, broaden pathways to affordable homeownership, provide emergency shelter, preserve natural habitats, and advance the arts, among other causes.”
