National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is next week, April 13-19.
Mathews Sheriff April Edwards said that public safety dispatchers are “the voice our citizens hear when disaster or tragedy strikes. They are the lifeline for our first responders, and they are truly the unsung heroes.”
Edwards asked that the public reach and “show thanks and appreciation to our public safety dispatchers.”
