The Diggs School of Dance will hold its spring recital, “A Silver Celebration of Dance,” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, at Mathews High School. The Bayside Youth Ballet will also perform, celebrating 25 years as the school’s affiliated dance company.
All past members of Bayside Ballet are invited to attend and will be recognized during the performance, said BYB’s artistic director Debbie Diggs.
The featured performer for the show will be BYB alumnus and Mathews native Kamilah Turner, who studied at the Diggs School from the age of four until she graduated from high school, said Diggs.
Upon graduation, Turner studied ballet at the North Carolina School of the Arts, then transferred to Alvin Ailey/Fordham University in New York, where she earned a BFA.
