Denville William “Hoopy” Davis, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Hoopy was born in Tappahannock but spent most of his life in Mathews, Va. Hoopy was a mechanic for many years and is best known for his wit and sense of humor. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Lana Booth (James), and granddaughters, Makayla, Makenzie, and Makenna.

He is also survived by brothers, John Davis (Doris), J.D. Hubbard, and Roger Hubbard (Crystal), and many special family members and friends.

The family received friends on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. A graveside service was held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. in St. Paul Annex Cemetery, Susan, Va. 23163.
